MEET TAYLOR

Taylor Nicole Price is a Bay Area born journalist and documentary storyteller exploring Black American life through a global lens. With a deep curiosity about the effects of migration on identity, Taylor tells stories that transcend borders and situate Black American experiences within broader global conversations. Her reporting traces how Black American culture travels, adapts, and takes root in new geographies, both at home and abroad.

Through immersive, travel-based reporting, Taylor centers Black American narratives while examining connections between urban and rural Black America and the Global South. Her work underscores the deep ties between these stories and broader histories of displacement, resilience, cultural preservation, and resistance. She believes that movement is one of the most powerful tools for survival and self-determination for marginalized people across the globe.

A graduate of NYU, Taylor studied public policy in Washington D.C., Greece, and France, gaining a unique global perspective that informs her storytelling. She has lived and studied in the two largest cities in the U.S.—New York City and Los Angeles—as well as abroad, in cities shaped by rich, layered diasporas. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Specialized Journalism at USC on the documentary track.
