AIRBNB: ‘FITTING THE PROFILE’
For Black History Month, Taylor supported Airbnb’s Employee Resource Group, Black@, in producing the signature event, a panel titled ‘Fitting the Profile,’ highlighting non-traditional pathways into tech featuring two Airbnb employees and Golden State Warriors player Andre Iguodala.

The Event
The objective of the panel was to expand the aperture of who is considered an ideal candidate and explore how Black people can leverage their ingenuity to gain access and advance in the tech space. As the event producer, Taylor conducted pre-interviews with the panelists, developed the run of show, and supported the live streaming of the event.
As a Bay Area native who grew up with the rise of tech right in her backyard, the socioeconomic implications of the tech industry's bias has affected Taylor personally as she witnessed her home change rapidly over the years. Taylor is a first generation college student and was honored to have the opportunity to showcase alternative pathways into tech and debunk the myth of who belongs in this industry.
“Taylor!!!!! I can not express how incredibly thankful I am that you are part of Black@!! You helped execute on a flawless 2023 Black History Month signature event. Your production skills were beyond appreciated. From your insight on questions, navigating the flow, setting up test runs, adjusting as panelist hopped in and out, and giving everyone the confidence to keep pushing on when things got a little shaky. I am so incredibly excited to keep working with you, and all the amazing talent you have.”
